Integrate eCommerce Into the Fabric of Your Business

The result of this investigation should shed light on how your business could use eCommerce to secure your long term position in the value chain, and the way to nurture more intimate relationships that will delight your customers. It should also reveal how eCommerce could be integrated into the fabric of your business operations to improve effectiveness and efficiency, and the balance between eCommerce channels to market and customer touch-points, with the more traditional ones such as retail, and call centres.

It may make sense to use third party eMarketplace sites, rather than develop your own web site in the short term, to gain experience of the Net economy and to lower the cost of entry. Think laterally and creatively to exploit the new mechanics of business in the Net economy. Be absolutely clear about what value your business is offering, and how you are going to protect your business interests from competitive offerings.
