Introduction
The prospect of either buying or selling on-line immediately begs the question of security
for most people. The hype surrounding the area of Internet credit card fraud is not
totally unfounded and, as with any type of transaction, there are risks. This document
describes these risks when exchanging confidential information electronically and
illustrates current methods for prevention, in particular focusing on SMEs using
eCatalogues to sell products and services.
