Innovations in Wood Ltd are a bespoke kitchen and bedroom design and manufacturing business based in Landore, Swansea. Since inception, the business found their order books slowly filling up, until the stage where it was felt that to increase profits further meant that they would need to target more affluent areas of the country.  The development of a basic promotional Web site was seen as a good opportunity for the business to promote their services and products to these more affluent audiences.

The business had always wanted to market itself in more prosperous areas of the UK, but the excessive cost of high quality brochures made such an option prohibitive. The development of a Web site has enabled their vision to become a reality within the budget constraints of this new enterprise.

This case study describes how careful research has enabled the business to identify weaknesses in their competitors Web sites.  As a result, they have been able to put together a design brief for their own site, which they feel will give them a competitive edge and allow business growth outside Wales.
