Introduction
“Should I renew my Web Insurance policy? Do I really need this policy anyway? Am I paying too much?” these were the questions posed recently by a Welsh SME, concerned that insurance premiums to cover their use of eCommerce had risen dramatically from £400 to £600 per annum.
Their query highlighted several important issues: do businesses need additional insurance for their eCommerce activities, what exactly should this insurance cover, how much is it likely to cost and what issues do they need to be aware of?
